Love with Food Subscription Box March 2013

Hey Everybody!

I just got my very first Love with Food subscription box!
Cost: $10/box + $2/shipping = $12/month
With each box, you receive Get 8+ NEW gourmet foods delivered to your door plus, Love with Food donates a meal to a hungry child for every box that is ordered.

In all honesty, I have heard nothing but good reviews about this monthly subscription so I was really excited to try it out!

So far I'm really like this box. It has a really nice look to it and the description card is pretty nice too.

Organic Wacky Apple Flat Fruit in the flavor "Wild Berry"
Value: $1

UPDATE: This reminded me of the candy that I used to eat when I was little! Like fruit-by-the-foot or something like that. I was not a big fan of the texture of this though. Not a bad snack overall though.

ChocWasabi "Chocolate Covered Wasabi Peas"
Value: $1.16
These should be really interested to try out. I've tried chili chocolate covered peanuts before and I didn't like it too much. Hopefully these taste better though.

UPDATE: So the only thing that I have ever tried wasabi with was my sushi. That wasabi is very, very spicy to me. These wasabi peas were just the right amount of spice to me. It was not a lot of spice, but it was just enough for you to taste it. I actually did enjoy these though. The chocolate tasted really good too. I would like to try these out again.

Ola! Granola
Value: $.94

Kids 50 "Break it Down Berry" Juice Drink
Value: $1
I'm probably a little bit too old to drink this but that doesn't bother me, I'll still try it!

UPDATE: I still tried this even though I'm not a kid :) I thought it tasted really good though, considering it has less sugar than most other kids drinks. It's a nice healthy juice box for your kids!

Revolution Acai Green Tea Infuser
Value: $.37
I'm not quite sure what I am supposed to do with this but I like tea a lot, I will be sure to let you all know!

Emily's Chocolates "Dark Chocolate Orange" Fortune Cookie
Value: $.80
I am so excited to try this out! I really, really hope that it tastes amazing.

UPDATE: Yummy! This fortune cookie tasted so delicious. I loved the orange dark chocolate that surrounded the cookie. Seriously, it tasted delicious. The cookie on the inside was a little bit hard, but it still tasted really good.

Cosmos Creations Baked Corn in "Salted Caramel"
Value: $.70
So this box probably isn't helping with my diet at all... not that I mind or anything. I love all things in the flavor "salted caramel". Starbucks has this super good "Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate" that I absolutely love. I'm guessing that this is going to taste just as amazing.

UPDATE: I wasn't exactly sure about what would be inside of this bag when I saw it. The "baked corn" is actually those little puffcorns that I used to eat when I was little. I haven't had any of those in so long that I forget what they tasted like. Let me tell you, they are delicious. The only difference was that these had salted caramel flavor drizzled on top of them. So yummy, I would definitely buy more of these.

Marys Gone Crackers Organic Crackers
Value: $.96

UPDATE: I really enjoyed these crackers. They reminded me of the sesame crackers that I used to eat all of the time. They tasted a little bit grainy and but I still really liked them. I bet they would taste really good with some hummus or other type of dip.

Total Value: $6.93

Even though the value of the box was less than what I paid, I still feel like it was totally worth it. Not only do I get to try out new foods, but I also get to donate a meal to a hungry child. Sounds like a win-win situation to me. I'll be sure to update my post as I try out different items to let you all know how they tasted too!
