Thursday Thoughts

Thursday Thoughts

I've decided that I wanted to turn my blog into something a little bit more personal, while still keeping my Subscription Box reviews. So I decided to do my very first link-up with Jen over at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom!

-I am so ready for my summer class to be over already. It's only a 3 week class but it's a 5-days a week for 3 hours kind of class. Plus, it's a class that's completely in Spanish. For those of you who don't know this (which is probably none of you) Spanish is one of my majors. I am taking the class at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln but it isn't the regular college I go to. I am taking it here in Lincoln because it was the only place that I could go since my home-college didn't offer the class during the summer session. Anyways, to put it shortly I am learning all about Spain in the Spanish language (my summer sounds so fun). But seriously, I can't wait to be done with this class so that I can spend sunny afternoons lounging by the pool like summer should be spent.

-Have any of you guys ever heard of Crossfit? I did a trial back in January at a local Crossfit gym for a couple of months and I have been excited to sign up again ever since. Crossfit is a really high intensity style of workout that never failed at making me feel like my body was broken the next day (those are my favorite kind of workouts). I quit going because it was kind of expensive but I always told myself that I was going to sign up again before July (can't make a liar out of myself). It's all I've been thinking about lately and I am anxious to get back in the gym. I miss that feeling of not being able to move after a good workout.

-I told myself that I was going to wait for my phone upgrade until the next iPhone came out. Hopefully it'll be soon, right? I have the iPhone 4 and I wanted the new one because mine doesn't have Siri. What do you think the new iPhone will have? I thought that I heard a rumor that they were going to make colored iPhone's. That's just a rumor though so you can never really trust those. I would absolutely love to have a bright yellow iPhone though!

-I have to renew my passport this weekend. I put that task off for so long and now I'm rushing to do it last minute (of course). The last time that I went in for my Passport it was just a walk-in process, right? Well I went in a month ago and they told me that renewing and obtaining passports are an appointment-only thing now. So the lady starts to flip through a book and says that the next time they have an available opening is over a month away. Hopefully it doesn't take too long!

-The weather here is going all crazy and I love it! One day we have bright, sunny skies and the next day we have thunderstorms/tornado warnings. One of my dogs, his name is Red and he's the one in that picture above, completely freaks out during storms. We had to start putting the Thundershirt on him because his anxiety levels got so high during storms. That jacket makes him calm down almost immediately, I would give it 15 stars out of a 10 star rating. I just love how Red looks in that picture :) He's only 10 months old right now and he still thinks that he can fit in the same places that he fit into when he was 3 months old.

What are you guys thinking about on this lovely Thursday afternoon?

Don't forget to go like my new Facebook page! The link is on the top left side of this page :)

  1. You have to go in to renew your passport? I renewed mine earlier this year and just mailed it in.

I haven't heard anything about the next iPhone, but it'll probably come out in the fall if you can wait that long! I find I actually don't use Siri as much as I thought I might, but there are tons of other features I'm sure you'll enjoy, like taking panoramic pictures (one of my favs!).
