I just got my Ipsy bag this week! I love seeing that bright pink bag in my mailbox every month. I cheated and looked at my showroom before I received my bag so I knew exactly what was going to be in my bag before I got it. Last month's bag was my all-time favorite so I had some pretty high expectations for this month's too. Click here to see my past Ipsy reviews.

Cost: $10/month

I love the design on this month's bag! The neon yellow and cheetah print compliment each other really well. I started to organize all of my make up bags and and separate them into different categories. One bag has all of my eyeliners, lipstick/lipgloss, mascara, etc. I should make another post soon and show you all what I am doing with all of my bags.

Value: $18

I've use Chella products before and I didn't have anything to complain about with them. This highlighter pencil is supposed to brighten and visibly life eyes. Hopefully it works really well! I've heard a lot of good reviews about it.

Value: $12

To be honest with you, I have never used lip liner before. This looks like a pretty good brand to try it out with though. I can't wait to find ways to play this up and wear. Hopefully I have a color that matches it in my makeup bag! If not I may have to buy one. To me, this lip liner looks like a mauve color.

Value: $4.49

When I first saw this palette, I thought that it was sparkly eye shadow. According to the website though, it is best not to apply to your eyes. You are supposed to apply the sparkles to your face. I can't see myself using this too often. I'll probably give it to a friend who I know loves glitter!

Value: $3.99

Here's another product that I have never tried before but I have always wanted to! A lot of my friends say that it is really hard to apply fake eyelashes but I figured that with so practice I could perfect it. I always wanted to buy fake eyelashes before but I figured that I would get a pair in a subscription box at some point so I was super excited to see these in my bag!

Value: $5.69

I have some NYX loose eyeshadow and I love it. To me, this blush looks more like bronzer. I mean, when I think of blush I think of pink, right? This blush is more of a brown color. I'll have to use it soon and see what I like it as better.

Total Value: $44.17

While I didn't like this bag as much as last month's, this bag was still really good too. Last month's bag was pretty amazing so it would be pretty hard to reach those standards again! I can't wait to try out those eyelashes. They look amazing!

Did you receive the Ipsy bag this month? What did you think of it?

  5. It looks like we received a couple of different things. I do love NYX blushes and even though that colour seems a bit dark you could use it as a bronzer or for contour. Emilynoel83 on Youtube has a great tutorial on applying fake lashes.

    1. I was thinking that a bronzer would be perfect for it! I'll have to check out some of her videos too, I have no idea how to apply fakes LOL

  8. I loved the bag in came in, and I kept the highlighter but didn't have much use for the rest of it. I don't really use lip liner, glitter to that extreme is not my thing, and I'd rather pencil liner. I still think it's a great idea and may try to subscribe again, but I just cancelled my subscription for now and am going to try out a Spicy box instead :p
