I just received my very first Taste Guru in the mail yesterday! I truly was not expecting this box to come in so soon. I ordered it on Sunday night and it was here by Friday night! I didn't get a tracking number so I figured that I would just end up getting next month's box. I was very surprised to see this giant box sitting on my kitchen table when I got home. Seriously, the picture does not do this box justice. This was a huge box!

I paid: $25

For those of you who are not familiar with Taste Guru, it is a monthly subscription box for people with gluten allergies or people who want to keep gluten out of their diet. While I am not allergic to gluten, I do try to avoid it when I can. I know people who do have gluten allergies so I was very excited to see this box was available! Almost everything in regular grocery stores have gluten in them. So for those of you who do have a gluten allergy, this is a great way to find new brands with gluten free products!

Value: $5

Gluten free, soy free, wheat free, nut free and dairy free... I really cannot wait to try these! This package makes 3 dozen cookies so there will be enough to share with the rest of my family :) If they taste good I may have to buy more because everybody needs to cave into their cookie cravings every once in awhile. Plus, I'd feel a little less guilty eating these versus my mom's homemade chocolate chip.

Value: $2.54

Is it just me, or do these look like Cinnamon Toast Crunch? To my understanding, they are supposed to be like cinnamon and sugar covered graham crackers. I haven't had cinnamon graham crackers since I was probably 10 years old. They are tasty though! This will be a really good snack to have around when I feel like I need something sweet.

Value: $3

According to their website, Wystone Teas mainly focus on the health benefits of tea. I looked at all of their available flavors and there was so many! If you like to drink tea than I would definitely recommend you to check out all of their available flavors.

Value: $4.60

I'm not a huge fan of chili but I'm always willing to try anything once. This has quinoa and cinnamon in it. I like both of those ingredients so hopefully I will like it!

Value: $0.99

Lately I haven't really been liking packaged bars. This one is different than the other ones that I usually get in my subscription boxes though so hopefully it tastes like actual chocolate. From what I could tell just by holding it, the bar was really soft.

Value: $3.22

This is the perfect summer drink! A nice, cold cherry lemonade on a hot day sounds amazing. There are 20 cherries in every bottle of this lemonade and the cherries are fresh pressed! I can't wait to drink a tall glass of this.

Value: $6.72

I love products with names like these. One of my favorite quotes is, "Never trust a skinny cook". I bet this would taste great on some barbequed chicken. My family is huge on barbequed foods so I have a feeling they are going to really enjoy trying this out!

Value: $2.98
Yummy! I love oatmeal and I've never tried honey flavored. I love that it's so high in fiber and protein. It's the perfect healthy breakfast for me!

Value: $1.74

Granola is one of my favorite add-ons in yogurt. The packaging on this is so funny too. I love how it says, "Unleash you inner hippie" LOL. This will definitely be put to good use! I'll probably add it to my yogurt or maybe even my oatmeal.

Total Value of the Box: $30.79

I have absolutely nothing to complain about with this box! I definitely feel like I got my money's worth out of it. Plus, there was a wide variety of this to try. I got some drinks, meals, snacks and sweets.

Did you get Taste Guru this month? What did you think about it?

Disclaimer: I paid for this box with my own money, no compensation was received for this review. All opinions are my own.

  1. What a cool box! I would love to try those products. I hear it is very hard to find tasty gluten free items.

By the way, did you change your background? Something looks different on your site!

  6. I am on my third month of Taste Guru. I love it. I can not eat gluten and it is a wonderful way to try products. I love that boulder granola. That I will order again. I made the cookies and they are fantastic. I love the cinn crunchmaster. Usually the box is shipped on the 15th of each month. They bill you the last day of the month. So far I am very happy with the products.

    1. That's strange, I've never heard of a subscription box doing that before!

    2. I emailed them, hoping there was some sort of mistake...but everything was exactly the same! The products were good, so that's a bonus, but I was really looking forward to trying some new items!

    3. Yeah I would have liked getting different products too. Is that how they do their subscriptions all of the time then?

  8. They just responded saying that they sent me July's box twice by mistake and that I could keep the second box but they'd be sending me August on the 15th. So it was a mistake, thankfully!

  9. Honestly, I found them through a Groupon and I still feel like I paid too much. Or maybe they cheaped out for the groupon people. If I paid full price I would have been pretty updet vrs just disappointed. I got 2 cup of soups, some apple crisps and a box of spegetti. Whoopdy doo!!!

  10. This company is actually turning out to be terrible in my opinion. When you don't renew your subscription (and you have a month remaining) they send you a TERRILE box. My final box from a 3-month subscription had a total of 3 items: a granola bar, a tiny 4oz bag of chicken stock, and a tiny bag of chips. I could have purchased these items for under $5 total. I would never work with them again if this is how they treat their customers. I felt like I was being punished for not renewing my subscription. When I e-mail customer support I only got a condescending response back as well.

  11. I had a horrific experience with TasteGuru.com. I paid $102 for a 3-month subscription on 3/18/14. On 5/11/14, I realized I had not received anything from the company. I sent an email cancelling my subscription and requesting a refund for my $102. Not only did I not receive an apology, but I never even received confirmation of my refund (although I received an email cancelling my subscription). I had to call American Express to dispute the charge to make sure I got my money back. This is a lousy company and would suggest you shop at a more reputable establishment.

  12. Will never use this company again!!!! Have not fulfilled a 6 month old subscription order from group on. The last one had $5 with of crap in it. Then they had the balls to charge my credit card today for no reason, supposedly a glitch. Customer service is horrendous! Consulting with 2 different attorneys about class action lawsuit because I hear I am not the only one. STAY AWAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!!
