WhimseyBox July 2013 Review + Coupon!

Don't forget about the 2 giveaways that I have going on right now! I have one for a free month of Bestowed healthy food box (Click here to enter the Bestowed giveaway) and one for a free full-sized tube of Noxicare, an all natural pain reliever cream (Click here to enter the Noxicare giveaway).

I got another WhimseyBox and I was super excited to see it sitting on my front door step the other day :) For those of you who are not familiar with WhimseyBox, it is a monthly craft subscription box. Each month you receive a craft and all of the supplies to complete that craft!

Cost: $15/month (Use my link to get $5 off of your first month!)

This month, they sent out all of the supplies to be able to make a tie-dye canvas bag. I love doing tie-dye so I was really, really excited about this craft! I was a little bit disappointed that I didn't receive the reusable box again though. I thought that they went to sending out reusable boxes like last month but this month's was just a regular box.

I remember my mom using RIT dyes for everything. It's a trusted dye brand so I feel pretty good about this! These shades of orange and green aren't exactly my favorite shades though. The orange looks like a burnt orange color and the green is a little dark. I'll probably end up using them on the bag anyways but I may just go out and buy some colors that I like more!

I'm not going to lie, this is a pretty strong bag. The material is thick and I would definitely feel safe about putting heavy items in it. I'll probably end up using it as a reusable bag for my groceries. Compared to the reusable bags that subscription boxes usually send out, this one is so much better than other ones that I've received.

Whoops! I accidently got a glare on this picture. I'm not 100% sure as to what this is though. I think that the paper said that it was a couple pieces of cloth for me to make flowers with. I wonder if you're supposed to sew the flowers onto the bag then? That would be a really cute idea!

Then of course, all of the materials to make the bag came with too. It included 2 bottles for the dye, a pair of rubber gloves and some rubber bands. I won't have time to make this bag for a while because my schedule has been so hectic lately! I would have liked to show my finished project but maybe I'll just post it to my Facebook page when I get done!
