Bookoo.com Online Yard Sale Review

I'm sure that a lot of you have heard of those Facebook swap pages for your hometowns, or maybe even looked at them. It's basically like an online yard sale, right? I just learned about this website called Bookoo that lets you list, sell and buy items all in your area!

When you go to the Bookoo website, you find the city that is closest to you. Even though I live in Iowa, I chose a city in Nebraska because it was closer to me than the cities that were listed in Iowa. Then you can go to buy or sell items in your area. Personally, I've never tried any of the swap pages in my area but I thought that it would be fun to try Bookoo out.

I decided that I would just browse some of the items. I saw items from kids toys, clothes, vacuums, fish tanks, cars, etc. All of the items that I saw were in really good condition. There were even a couple of listings out there for people who were trying to rent or sell their homes! I decided that I wanted to look into one person's fish tank. So I contacted them through the form on the website and they responded rather quickly. It was a pleasant experience overall.

I didn't actually end up buying anything from the website, but I did like the experience a lot. Whenever I go to websites like Craigslist, I'm always afraid that 70% of the people out there are scammers. I wasn't afraid of scammers at all on Bookoo

If there isn't a Bookoo page for your city, you can actually start a petition for them to start one by clicking here. I might have to put a petition in for one closer to my hometown.

While I didn't try selling with their site, I think that I'm going to try it soon. I have tons of stuff laying around my house that I don't use, why not try to sell it to someone who wants it? It seemed like there were a lot of people who sold a lot of their items that they had listed!

Overall, I really liked Bookoo. I will definitely be trying it out again in the near future!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  2. I like Bookoo. I've sold and purchased. I have come across people who will really try to low ball you for items but the overall the experience is great. It really is a great way to make money and meet new people. I haven't come across any scammers but I'm sure they are out there. So in everything you do over the internet you always use caution. When meeting someone to either sell or purchase always have someone with you and meet in a public location if you can. Safety is a must.
