The first time that I ever heard of Wei Golden Root Purifying Mud Mask, I received it in my Birchbox for July. I use facial masks every week so I was excited to try a new one out!

"This purifying mask helps to revitalize lifeless skin with its velvety ultra-soft texture that not only deeply cleans, but also minimizes the appearance of pores and refines skin's appearance and texture. Benefits: Golden Root keeps skin looking youthful and smooth. Purges toxins and impurities from skin. Helps to rid of dead skin cell buildup. Suitable for all skin types."

One pod is supposed to be enough to get you one full use. My first impression of the mud mask was that it reminded me of pudding or chocolate fondue LOL. The texture was really smooth though. It was so easy to apply to my face. At first, I thought that the mask was too thin. It would go on really thin but as I added more layers, it seemed perfect. There wasn't much of a mud smell to this mask, it actually smelled pretty good. It didn't have an overpowering smell though, it was a subtle scent that I really enjoyed.

I'd say that the mask took around 45 minutes to completely dry. That's quite a bit longer than what most masks that I've used. I'm used to my masks drying between 20-30 minutes. I didn't mind the wait time, I didn't have anything to do anyways LOL.

My overall experience with Wei Golden Root Purifying Mud Mask was really good. When I took it off, my skin looked and felt like porcelain! It was so soft and smooth. Honestly, this was probably the best facial mud mask that I have ever used. It definitely had the highest quality. My skin felt amazing and the quality of the mask was so good. I'm already thinking about buying more pods for myself now. I don't know if I'm going to be able to find another face mask that lives up to Wei Golden Root Purifying Mud Mask!

  4. The long wait for it to dry kind of sucks, but if it works, that's all that matters. I love masks too. and the mud picture is awesome.

  6. Actually you are only suppose to have it on for 10 minutes... not wait for it to dry.
