Project DIY Review November 2013

Don't you guys just love making your own jewelry? I know I do! That's why I was super excited to find out about a new subscription service called Project DIYProject DIY is a monthly subscription service that sends you all of the supplies to make your own jewelry.

Cost: $30/month

This month's theme was "Joan of Arc". Each of the pieces that you are supposed to make are Joan of Arc themed, I absolutely love that theme! Older, vintage looking jewelry is definitely something that I am into.

The first thing that I saw was this canvas bag that said PROJECT DIY. Inside of it were 3 different types of pliers and a bag full of clasps for bracelets and necklaces. Sorry you can't see the baggie too well, I didn't realize there was a glare!

The next bag was a deep velvet color and it had a gold cuff inside of it.

There were 2 kits inside of the box. This first box was for the shield necklace. It had all of the items that I needed to make this beautiful necklace:

Isn't that gorgeous? I absolutely love it! Hopefully I can make it look just as good as they did. According to the box, this necklace should take approximately 25 minutes to make!

The other box had all of the products that I needed to make the Warrior Cuff:

Now that is gorgeous. I love, love these older looking pieces of jewelry! They would match a lot of the things I wear on a day-to-day basis.

So what do you think about Project DIY? I can see some companies charging $30 for just one of these pieces! I absolutely love it, I can't wait to see what their next collection will be!

Disclaimer: I received this box for review purposes only, no compensation was received. All opinions are my own.

  3. That is a great idea! I love the warrior cuff - wearing it would make me feel invincible, especially if I made it. It is one way to find the time, because I find going to a class I feel I don't have the time, but if it comes in the mail to you, you're already home and have more time! Cheap, too! Wow!
