The Fantasy Box August 2013 Review

Image
Don't you love getting surprises in the mail? I love them! The people over at  The Fantasy Box  were nice enough to send me a box to review this month and I couldn't wait to see what was inside! I'm sure that you could tell what kind of box this was just by looking at the name. If you were thinking that it's a subscription box for adults, then you were right! Each box has a different theme/style for a fun way to spice up your date night. Products may include; lingerie, toys, novelties and sometimes even everyday items that may surprise you. All items are high-quality, full-sized and carefully selected.  Cost: $34-$159/month or bi-monthly This was the package that my box came in. It was completely undetectable if any of you are worried about nosey neighbors looking though your mail. The return address just said, "TFB", it even fooled me! I was anxious to see what was inside because I couldn't even tell from the outside LOL. There are 3 diff...

NEVER EVER EVER Link-Up

Image
I haven't done a NEVER EVER EVER link-up in a while so I thought this would be the perfect Tuesday to join in again! NEVER, EVER, EVER will I... Forget about the very first date that D and I ever had. Say no to a day at the Doggie Park with Emma and Red. Quit wishing that I had enough money to buy myself a Jeep Wrangler. Stop being grateful for my wonderful parents and family. Stop trying to see Jack Johnson live in concert (one day I will!). Hate a day where I can stay in bed and watch Sex and the City all day. Stop donating dollars to the homeless people that stand on the side of the road with signs. Stop loving popcorn, seriously it's my favorite go-to snack. Stop trying to make myself the best possible person that I can be. Be able to go bungee jumping.  What will you never, ever, ever be able to do?

Sation Nail Lacquer "Love at First Byte" Review

Image
I'm starting to find more time for my reviews so expect a lot more to come in the near future!  A couple of months ago, I received a bottle of Sation Nail Lacquer in  "Love At First Byte"  from Ipsy .  From first look, I wasn't too excited about the color. I like to wear bright or pastel colors. Nude nail polishes aren't really my thing. Unless I'm trying to look a little more professional, which was when I decided to try this out :) I saw this color on Amazon for $3.40 if any of you are interested in trying it out.  As soon as I started to take the brush out of the bottle, I noticed how thin the polish was. Did any of you have that problem when you put it on? I've never used  Sation  nail lacquer before so I wasn't sure if that was normal for their polishes.  It wasn't even noticeable after one application. It took 4 coats to get the coverage that I have in this picture. If you look at the bottom 2 fingers, you can still see my t...

Bookoo.com Online Yard Sale Review

Image
Picture credit to Bookoo.com I'm sure that a lot of you have heard of those Facebook swap pages for your hometowns, or maybe even looked at them. It's basically like an online yard sale, right? I just learned about this website called  Bookoo  that lets you list, sell and buy items all in your area!  When you go to the  Bookoo  website, you find the city that is closest to you. Even though I live in Iowa, I chose a city in Nebraska because it was closer to me than the cities that were listed in Iowa. Then you can go to buy or sell items in your area. Personally, I've never tried any of the swap pages in my area but I thought that it would be fun to try  Bookoo  out. I decided that I would just browse some of the items. I saw items from kids toys, clothes, vacuums, fish tanks, cars, etc. All of the items that I saw were in really good condition. There were even a couple of listings out there for people who were trying to rent or sell th...

Ipsy My Glam Bag August 2013 Review

Image
The pink foil bag came in my mail this week so you know what that means, my  Ipsy Glam Bag  has arrived!  Ipsy  was the very first beauty subscription box that I have ever gotten so I'm pretty loyal to them. I bought a years subscription when I first started and I can't believe that the year is almost up, I started back in November 2012. If you've never gotten a subscription box before, I recommend starting with  Ipsy . It's cheap and their bags get better every month! Cost: $10/month For those of you who are unfamiliar with  Ipsy , it is a monthly beauty subscription service that sends only deluxe-size samples and full-sized products plus a makeup bag every month.  Click here to see my past Ipsy reviews. LIME CRIME Nail Polish - Crema De Limon Value: $8 A couple of months ago,  Ipsy  started a rewards program. If you recommend 2 friends, then they send you a special gift and this was my gift for the month. I've...

Sunday Social

I'm trying to get back to my regular blogging routine again so hopefully you'll be seeing a lot more posts from me lately :) 1. What is something you've always wanted to do but are afraid of? I've always wanted to go bungee jumping but I'm afraid that my heart couldn't handle it LOL. There's just something about the free-fall-feel that scares me so bad. I've watched people bungee jump, I just know that I couldn't do it myself. Now skydiving is a different story. I would go skydiving in a heartbeat if I ever had the chance. That probably makes absolutely no sense to you LOL, I'm not even sure if it makes sense to me either. I'd rather jump from a really high distance and feel some wind-resistance. 2. Where do you see yourself in five years?  Hopefully married to D with a stable job, trying to save up some money for our house out in the country. Living in the city is nice and all, but I miss my peaceful country home.  3. W...
