Birchbox September 2013 Review

Image
I always try to stay off of the  Birchbox  website whenever I hear that the spoilers come out. I would have it be a surprise every month. That's why I was so excited to see my  Birchbox  box sitting on my dining room table tonight!! Cost: $10/month I will stay this over and over, if you've never tried a subscription box before, get  Birchbox ! They are a great starter box. Sea Salt Primer  ($10.75) Well, this one bottle of sea salt spray was worth more than I paid for my entire box! I love how sea salt spray makes my hair look. This is a very generously sized bottle too! I could tell that there was something heavy in my box as soon as I picked it up. Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips  ($5.50) When I read "nipple balm" I was like, what the...  Then I read the last line and felt much better about it LOL. Apparently this is kind of a use-all cream. I'll end up using it for my lips but apparently you can u...

PetBox September 2013 Review

Whoot! My very first  PetBox  came in the mail today and I couldn't wait to rip it open as soon as I got home :) I made a posting about 2 weeks ago about the deal that I found for  PetBox  through  Coupaw  (a deal website for pet items, kind of like Hautelook for cats and dogs). With the codes that  Coupaw  had, I ended up getting a 2-month subscription for only $23.20, usually a 2-month subscription would have been $58.  Cost: $29/month I was surprised at how big the box was when I saw it sitting on my kitchen table! I chose the option for a medium sized dog, they curate the products based on the size of your dog. If you don't have a dog, they even have the option for you to get a box for your cat! One of the main reasons why I decided to sign up for PetBox was because they only send out USA made products. It makes me feel safer knowing that I'm getting my puppies the best :) Petrodex Natural Dog Dental Care Kit ...

Makr Box September 2013 Review

You guys know how much I love my small business/homemade products, right? Well last month I found a discount code for  Makr Box  so I just had to take the plunge and order it! Here's the description that I found on their website, " Every month we find awesome, handcrafted, design-forward products and pack 2-3 of them in a box." Cost: $29/month + shipping I can't get enough of handcrafted products. I'm that person who would be willing to pay a couple of extra dollars for a bracelet that was made by women in a village in Haiti if it meant that I was directly supporting their cause. I just can't help it! I like to be proud of the products in my house and tell people the story behind things, not that I bought something from a big name company that was made by a robot in a manufacturing plant. That's why I thought I would try  Makr Box  and see what I got! Big Spoon Jam  ($15) If there's one thing that my Dad and I have in c...

I was lucky enough to be contacted by the people over at  Mexican Candy Box . They offered to send me a sample of their very first box and of course, I accepted their offer right away! September was their very first month in operation so I was really interested in seeing the type of products that would be included. The next option is the Amigo (Friend) box and it has the same items as mine plus some extra pieces. That option is $15 a month. The last option is the Familia (Family) box and it is $20 a month. Sunday Social

Don't forget to enter my giveaway for a $50 Visa giftcard giveaway!  Click here to enter the giveaway :) It's another week of Sunday Social! This week's questions are all about the Fall Season. 1. What is your favorite fall activity? One of my favorite things to do in the fall is go to the Pumpkin Patch! Actually, it's more of an Apple Orchard but it's still my favorite place to pick pumpkins. I could spend an hour trying to pick out the perfect pumpkin. Then once I find it, I feel like I won the lottery LOL. We always roam their homemade jelly and jams and buy some for my Dad because he loves homemade jelly. Then, we buy a piece of homemade apple crisp to share and glasses of apple slush. I love carving the pumpkins and making homemade pumpkin seeds :) If anyone has a good recipe for pumpkin seeds, please share it with me! I love trying new recipes.  2. Do you follow a football team? If so, which one and why? Unfortunately, I don't. I like ...
